Another Google Update to Remove Web Spams

This update was pre announced by the head of Google’s web spam team Matt Cutts  . Again lot of web masters feeling the heat followed by downing of their website ranks. Sites with quality content and natural quality backlinks replaced the blanks.

Is it the End of SEO?

Not really. Demand of Good SEOs will be on rise because in order to get free traffic from search engines one needs to know what works and what doesn’t. It’s always better to consult with good SEOs regarding this in order to avoid getting banned for unknowingly practising activities search engines frown upon.

Those days are gone when you expect to rank for your desired keywords with obvious link wheels, getting paid links from blog directories, syndicating articles on low quality article directories, submitting to thousands of blog directories and by clear link spamming.

Less has become more indeed. Build less backlinks from sources you find it difficult to. Variation of link texts or anchor texts is a must and most importantly the link acquisition rate has to be more or less natural.

Another important aspect is the over optimization of onsite/offsite parameters which should be paid due attention. It’s always better to not to over optimize your website/web pages to bypass the possibility of penalty for likely manipulation of search results.
